Carlos Lalonde

Carlos Lalonde (b. 2001) is a rising Filipino-American composer of instrumental and choral concert music.

They have been commissioned by numerous performing groups and institutions for their electrifying and powerful music. Past accolades include Cantus’ Young & Emerging Composer Competition, the Greater Twin Cities Youth Orchestras (GTCYS) Call for Scores Competition, and served as the 2022 Composer-In-Residence of the Alabama Orchestra Association (AOA). Their concert music has been performed internationally and has received recognition from organizations, like UNESCO.

They are a registered member of ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers) and the American Composers Forum as an active composer in the Midwest. Their educational music catalog is published by Carl Fischer Music. They will be pursuing a master’s degree in Music Composition at the College of Music at Michigan State University next fall as a research and teaching assistant.
