Qiyun Dai
Qiyun Dai is a renowned pianist and composer with over two decades of experience, celebrated for his virtuosic skill and engaging performances. Trained at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, he specialized in chamber music and gained international acclaim with the Senso Trio at competitions. After winning the Thaviu-Isaak Endowed Piano Scholarship Competition, he earned his Master of Piano Performance at Northwestern University, Bienen School of Music. As a staff pianist there, he participates in numerous recitals annually at major venues and collaborates with esteemed musicians on platforms like WFMT and ABC Classic. He served as the former resident music director at Petite Opera Production, leading several successful productions. Beyond performance, Qiyun is a prolific composer known for his rich harmonic language and lyrical compositions that reflect a contemporary sensibility while remaining accessible. His work resonates with performers and listeners alike, offering a mesmerizing experience that bridges traditional and modern musical landscapes.
